Prayer Update
June 2009

"According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death."

(Philippians 1:20)

Dear Believers,

We thank the Lord for His faithfulness since we last communicated. Summer ministries are upon us, and the season allows for a greater focus on evangelism. The Bronstein park ministry on Tuesday evenings has started, and we thank God for increasing the number of laborers desiring to join us to present the gospel.  In past years, most of our group has been made up of young adults, but this year six of them are away working at Christian camps during the summer.  It has been a great encouragement to see new individuals from our assembly joining the work.
Satanic opposition continued again as we sought the Lord for a location for our Summer Bible Club.  The park and recreational director has decided that he sticking to the city policy by not allowing any park to be used more than one time per six month period for evangelistic purposes....but we praise God for going before us.  We will be able to use the field for this year.  They have communicated that this is an exception for this year only,
but we are rejoicing in God's provision. This is a big answer to prayer!  The club is scheduled for July 20-24.
God has opened a door for us to have a table display during a 5K race in the city in August.  We hope to use this as an opportunity to witness as well as to let people know we are here in the community.
Some of you may have heard that Jennifer Peront's Mom who has been battling cancer for quite some time now, has gone home to be with the Lord.  God worked in wonderful ways to meet the needs of their family during this difficult time.  Abundant grace and strength was given for every unique circumstance concerning her passing and funeral preparations.  We thank everyone who prayed and ask for continued prayer for Jennifer's dad Ken as he adjusts, for those who heard the gospel, and especially for her brother David, for his return to the Lord if he is truly saved.
God has been faithful giving opportunities in these last days to reach the lost. We have a desire to have a number of home Bible studies open up as a result of these opportunities.  Please pray with us for great boldness that only comes from the Holy Spirit to speak out so we may redeem the time in these evil days.
Thank you for your prayer support, we know that God moves mightily through the prayers of His people.

                                                       with love in Christ,
